"Ross Kemp in Afghanistan" DVD supports the ABF

Ross Kemp in Afghanistan

Ross Kemp spent the summer of 2007 in
the front line

A donation will be made to the ABF with the sale of every Ross Kemp in Afghanistan series DVD. The BAFTA winning documentary team DVD is released on 7 April 2008. The series shows Ross Kemps journey to Britain's front line in Afghanistan to experience first hand the British Army's attempts at bringing peace to one of the world's most dangerous war zones.

Filmed in summer 2007, Ross Kemp in Afghanistan details the actors' very personal account of British soldiers at war. Ross endures the stifling heat, constant threat of snipers, RPG attacks and land mines; discovering first hand what it's like to fight on Britain's front line. Ross also meets soldier's families in the UK to see how they cope when their loved ones are away as well as meeting the relatives of soldiers bereaving the loss of their sons.

"We are delighted that a donation will be made to the ABF with every sale of the DVD. This documentary has been very effective in highlighting the experiences of the average soldier in Afghanistan, and gives a good insight into what they endure on a daily basis and the sacrifices that they make. All donations raised from sales of the DVD will help the ABF to support soldiers and their families, such as those shown in the series, if they find themselves in need in the future."
