Paul and Peter French will run the London
Marathon for the ABF two days before
their 70th birthday
Twin retired Army Colonels, Paul and Peter French, will lace up their running shoes for the ABF and take part in the Flora London Marathon on Sunday 13 April 2008 - just two days before their 70th birthday.
Lt Col (retired) Paul French who lives in Andover and Col (retired) Peter French, who now lives in France, both served in the Army for over 35 years.
"My brother and I are delighted that we are both able to run for the ABF this year. Peter and I celebrate our 70th birthday on 15 April. We served in Germany, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Borneo, Singapore, Malaysia, Kuwait and Aden - we also both represented the Army at athletics during the sixties."

Paul and Peter have run many marathons over the years, with Paul clocking up 14 marathons and Peter, 12. They have both run the Flora London Marathon several times before for the ABF, and this year they are hoping to raise over £3,000 between them for the charity.
"Paul and Peter are truly dedicated to their running and have already raised thousands of pounds over the years for the ABF. The money they raise in sponsorship will help the ABF continue its vital work for the Army family and make a real difference to the quality of life for our brave soldiers, former soldiers and their familes. We wish Paul and Peter the best of luck with their training."
