The Army Boxing Team and Wigan Amateur Boxing Club (WABC) recently went head to head in the boxing ring, raising £2,400 in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund and the WABC.
The event, organised by Corporal Alun Mousley from 11 Sig Regt, used the sporting talents of individuals from across the Army’s boxing team and the Wigan Boxing Club including local boxing legend, Mr John Lyon MBE who also took part to raise money for the army’s national charity.
The money raised was split between the ABF and the Wigan Army Boxing Club to help repair structural damage to the roof to keep it from closing.
