A committee was formed earlier this year to celebrate Josh Lewsey's contribution to the game of rugby with a Testimonial Year. Having served as an officer in the British Army, Josh is fully aware of the incredible job that the British Forces do around the world. The Army Benevolent Fund has been chosen as one of the charities supported by Year, benefiting from the proceeds from events held over 8 months.

23 Pioneer Regiment RLC are currently working in conjunction with the National Trail to conduct artisan tasks along Hadrian's Wall. This will be followed by a Regimental sponsored walk along the 84 mile National Trail in support of the excellent work of the ABF.

In July 2008 Major General Evelyn Webb-Carter and the historian Professor Richard Holmes will lead a horse ride in period costume across England and Wales to raise donations for the ABF.

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo gives a substantial donation to the ABF every year.
